Travel Manager directs the operation of the company's travel services. Administers and monitors the travel policies, guidelines, and budget to deliver efficient travel arrangements. Being a Travel Manager prepares periodic budget and utilization reports. Provides guidance to employees about travel requirements including visa, medical, and special conditions. Additionally, Travel Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Travel Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Travel Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure company policy and Brand Quality Standards are followed.
    • Optimize profits by controlling food, beverage and labor costs.
    • Training and developing new hourly team members.
    • Increasing sales by ensuring responsible and efficient operations
    • Maintain an overall management style in accordance with our established best practices.
    • Provide leadership and direction to all team leaders and team members to ensure efficient operation.

    • Achieve and Maintain Required Certifications

    • Complete all tasks assigned by General Manager on time.
    • Must be 18 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of restaurant management experience
    • Has strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant.
    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions
    • Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
    • Passion for the business and compassion for people
    • Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to recruit, develop and motivate team members.

    • Must be able to create fun in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
    • Typically works under general supervision and reports to a GM.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience; Associate’s degree preferred
    • 1 years of restaurant leadership experience preferred
    • Driving is essential for this position so a valid driver’s license with liability insurance, a good driving record and a satisfactory background check is required
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills along with the ability to motivate a team
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with strong leadership skills
    • Knowledge of back-of-house systems, point-of-sale systems, restaurant operating systems, budgetary concepts and procedures, performance review process and more
    • Food Handlers Certification
    • Food Safety Certification (requirement may vary based on city, county or state)

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to stand during entire shift
    • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, and push on occasion
    • Must be able to read (orders on tickets, menu board, receipts, etc.)
    • Frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, cleaning and sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items
    • Frequent washing of hands
    • Must be able to use computers, telephones, and office equipment
