Responsibilities for the Office Clerk

• Greet visitors in person and over the phone in a professional manner
• Cashiering to collect Mobile Home and Real Estate taxes
• Process Mobile Home Certifications for mobile home owners
• Complete Mobile Home Redemption reports in coordination with the County Clerk’s Office
• File and Notate Returned Certified Mail
• Other duties as assigned

Essential functions for Office Clerk

• High school diploma or equivalent
• In office/person punctual attendance is required
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with coworkers, outside departments, and public
• Ability to meet deadlines as assigned
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Must live in St. Clair County

Preferred qualifications for Office Clerk

• Previous cashiering and/or Bookkeeping experience
• Some college having a background in the areas of math or accounting
• Proficient computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to speak Spanish
