Treasurer guides the overall direction, coordination, and operation of the organization's treasury department. Develops the strategic vision and direction for the treasury function. Being a Treasurer directs and manages treasury activities of an organization including financial forecasting and mitigating risk. Ensures financial transactions, policies, and procedures fulfill the organization's objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements. Additionally, Treasurer is responsible for the corporate banking, credit, and investment functions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Treasurer manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Treasurer typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Requirements of the Controller- Bachelor s degree in finance or accounting required, Master s degree a plus
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience and responsibility
- Strong computer /software experience
- Experience interacting with outside auditors, insurance companies, and financial institutions
- Experience with corporate business insurances, employee benefits, and profit-sharing plans
- Cash Management experience.
- Background in the automotive /manufacturing industries
- An extremely strong work ethic

- Coordinates the financial planning, budgeting, and investment activities.
- Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions,and contract negotiations.
- Oversees the preparation of periodic financial statements, activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Cash management for the company.
- Ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP.)
- Responsible forrisk management and loss prevention programs including property and casualty insurance, general liability insurance, workers compensation, customs and tariffs, and cash management.
- Reviews financial details from past, present, and forecasted operations; identifies development opportunities and improvements that can be made.
- Provides management with short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Conducts monthly business review meeting with Senior Management, reports to board of directors semi- annually and has significant interaction with Executive Leadership.
- Collaborates with external auditors to provide information needed for the annual audit.
- Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.
- Responsible for annual inventory.
- Performs other related duties or projects as assigned.
