EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate should have experience in clerical positions, accounting experience is preferred. The candidate should be well organized and have the ability to work independently. Knowledge and skills related to the use of financial software, excel and google sheets is required. Experience is governmental/fund accounting is preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Deputy School District Treasurer is responsible for maintenance of employee benefits, providing secondary support to payroll and the treasurer, and tax collection.
DUTIES
Reconciles bank transactions.
Serves as the district tax collector
Maintains, on boards, off boards and serves as the districts liaison for health, dental, vision and life/disability benefits
Monitors profits and loss for the food service department
Serves as the district accounts receivable contact for collections and tracking.
Grant tracking and reporting as assigned
Responsible for Business Office records and website maintenance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
AUTHORITY
The Deputy School District Treasurer reports to the School Business Official.
