What does it mean to be a Director, Treasury and Capital Markets?

The Director, Treasury and Capital Markets is responsible for managing and executing all aspects of term securitization transactions. This position will lead the daily management of the term securitization program and assist with the execution of other similarly related financing transactions.

• Execute and administer term securitizations by coordinating with banking partners, engaging with rating agencies, negotiating and interacting with third parties, and collaborating with other internal departments
• Collaborate with other team members to improve and enhance financial models utilized to project collateral performance within the constructs of various financing transactions
• Track and evaluate outstanding business transactions as well as compare and measure the relative performance of GLS transactions to industry competitors
• Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on the organization’s capital structure and financing terms to ensure identify areas of improvement and maximum efficiencies
• Contribute to the preparation and presentation of marketing materials to securitization investors
• Assist with the development and maintenance of relationships with securitization investors and other key stakeholders
• Participate in the negotiation of performance metrics captured in securitization and warehouse transactions
• Oversee the delivery of financial transaction servicer reports
• Coordinate with internal finance departments to provide accurate budgeting and liquidity forecasts
• Perform ad hoc analyses as required by treasury personnel and senior management

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of four years’ experience working in a capital markets role
• Knowledge and proficiency with SQL and database functionality
• Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness 
• Excellent interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Team player that can adapt in a fast pace and changing environment 
• Proficient computer skills with working knowledge standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required 
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities; demonstrated ability to think strategically and deliver tactically

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Remain in a stationary position up to 100% of the workday
• Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
• Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
• The position requires travel, up to 10%
