Treasury Director manages and oversees all aspects of daily treasury operations to meet the financial obligations of the organization. Oversees cash reporting and forecasting, credit administration, lender compliance requirements, administration of business insurance programs, and debt facility modeling. Being a Treasury Director reviews and approves cash allocation reports, investment records, and expense and earnings forecasts. Develops department policies, procedures, and internal controls. Additionally, Treasury Director ensures policies and procedures meet the organization's objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Treasury Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.     A Day in the Life as a Treasury Specialist:  Monitor daily cash positions and forecast short-term cash needs. Implement strategies to maximize cash efficiency and minimize idle balances. Coordinate banking relationships and manage bank accounts. Evaluate and select suitable investment instruments. Monitor investment performance and compliance with company policies. Complete compliance reports as required by internal and external stakeholders. Identify and assess financial risks, including foreign exchange and interest rate risk. Implement risk mitigation strategies, such as hedging and insurance. Stay informed about market trends and regulatory changes affecting the treasury function. Prepare and present regular reports on cash flow, liquidity, and treasury activities. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Develop accurate cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making. Continuously refine forecasting models based on actual results. Establish and maintain robust internal controls related to treasury operations. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.

    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in treasury management, with at least 5 years in a treasury role.
    • Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    • Knowledge of financial instruments, cash management techniques, and investment strategies.
    • Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
    • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial risk management.
    • Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute treasury strategies in line with organizational goals.
    • Integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

    Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) preferred.
