Treasury Director manages and oversees all aspects of daily treasury operations to meet the financial obligations of the organization. Oversees cash reporting and forecasting, credit administration, lender compliance requirements, administration of business insurance programs, and debt facility modeling. Being a Treasury Director reviews and approves cash allocation reports, investment records, and expense and earnings forecasts. Develops department policies, procedures, and internal controls. Additionally, Treasury Director ensures policies and procedures meet the organization's objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree.     Position Summary Information

    Primary Purpose
    The Treasury Analyst is responsible for providing financial analyses for the University in addition to technical and administrative functions in the Office of Treasury and Investments. This includes, but is not limited to, accounting, reporting and general investment monitoring. The Treasury Analyst assists other Treasury and Investment staff on collaborative projects and as support as needed.
    Essential Functions
    • Demonstrates independent judgment for the investment of the University's working capital to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cash needs and income for the University budget; monitors financial activities, and creates and analyzes cash flow and income forecasts.
    • Regularly works on highly complex assignments that are of diverse scope requiring analysis of identifiable factors using accounting and financial sources related to endowments and short-term and operating capital investments for both University-wide and unit levels.
    • Handles various aspects of endowment administration for both endowment funds and endowment investments.
    • Interacts with senior internal and external contacts on matters of significance to the compliance of the organization.
    • Prepares detailed support and financial analyses of the University's investments to provide to external auditors in support of quarter-end closes fiscal year-end audit and financial statement generation.
    • Works closely with the Associate Director-Treasury to develop departmental schedules in coordination with Financial Reporting's audit schedules for the University's external auditors and supports Financial Reporting in their preparation of University financial statements.
    • Demonstrates independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions, completing analysis, and developing recommendations.
    • Manages the treasury administration system and drafts and/or approves electronic fund transfer requests, including wires and ACH.
    • Responsible for coordinating the collection of information, preparing reports, and responding to inquiries from departments or coordinating resolution of issues involving other departments or functions.
    • Assists with developing, analyzing, and implementing Treasury systems and processes to improve Treasury functions, including preservation of capital, strengthening cash position, and maintaining liquidity, to serve University working capital needs and facilitate debt financing.
    • Oversees preparation of journal entries for all University investments and submits monthly files to Financial Reporting.
    • Interprets complex reports and records for administrators and managers.
    • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments (banking and compliance requirements).
    • Assists internal constituents and liaises with banks to resolve banking-related issues.
    • Stays current with trends and industry standards for Treasury functions and provides recommendations to senior management related to ongoing enhancements of University policies
    • Trains and manages student Treasury Assistants.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
    • One (1) year of treasury and/or banking experience.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting or MBA.
    • Three (3) years of treasury and/or banking experience.
    • Certified Treasury Professional.
    • Detail-oriented with solid knowledge of financial procedures, systems and operations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Advance spreadsheet and database skills.
    • Knowledge of university or other not-for-profit accounting preferred.
    • Positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
    • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
    • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
    • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

    Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
    Work performed during standard business hours.
    Hiring Range $66,560.00 - $71,303.70 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
