Truck Driver - Heavy operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. Being a Truck Driver - Heavy conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Additionally, Truck Driver - Heavy coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. May require a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typically reports to a supervisor. The Truck Driver - Heavy works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     ISC Structures has an immediate opening for an experienced, reliable CDL Class A Lowboy Truck Driver with minimum 5 years exp. Must pass pre-employment background and drug test. Must possess and maintain a Class A CDL with clean DMV record, and DOT Medical Card. Seeking a driver with a paving experience. Will be reporting to locations in Lyndhurst area.

    Must be familiar with safety and DOT regulations. Candidate must have experience with oversized loads and must keep vehicle operational by following operating instructions.

    Essential Job Functions:

      • Transport of Heavy Equipment: Loading and unloading, proper securement, and transport various types of equipment on trailers to customers job sites.
      • Ensure equipment being transported complies with DOT regulations.
      • Operate lowboy trailer on sites including off of public highways.
      • Conducting all work activities in a safe manner, using appropriate PPE
      • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor;
      • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
      • Keep accurate records and reports as required including a daily log.
      • Other duties as assigned by supervisor in the shop area.

    Qualifications:

    • LOWBED Experience a MUST, Transport & ability to operate Heavy Equipment
    • Experience hauling oversize loads.
    • Experience in paving.
    • Five (5) years of relevant experience.
    • Ability to safely drive various vehicles.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to work OT as needed. Must have the ability to work flexible schedule for emergency situations.
    • Ability to handle physical workload.
    • Strong work ethic
