Truck Driver - Heavy operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. Being a Truck Driver - Heavy conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Additionally, Truck Driver - Heavy coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. May require a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typically reports to a supervisor. The Truck Driver - Heavy works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     CDL- A Driver / Truck Driver Responsibilities:

    • Dry Van
    • Automatic 
    • Home weekly for 34 hour reset; Will work weekends
    • Night driving
    • Must have somewhere to safely park tractor and trailer on hometime
    • No Touch Freight
    • Average $1300 per week
    • Pay: $0.50cpm - $0.59cpm
    • Load Pay: $50; average 6 loads per week 
    • Stop Pay: $25; Average 2 stops per load
    • Long Island Loads: $150
    • Average 2000 miles weekly
    • Detention and Layover/Breakdown Pay
    • Average $70k annually
    • Deliver to the Northeast States
    • Internationals, Freightliners, and Kenworths
    • No Failed Drug Test or Drug Test Refusals ever!

    CDL-A Driver / Truck Driver Requirements:

    • 3 months verifiable recent tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years
    • Local experience will count 
    • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years; No more than 2 in the past year
    • License suspension cannot be for more than 6 months in the past year
    • No more than 7 jobs in the past 3 years if Driver has less than 2 years experience; No more than 9 jobs in the past 3 years if Driver has 2 or more years experience
    • Most Terminations will be reviewed
    • DUI must be outside of 3 years 
    • Hair Follicle and Urine drug screen required
