Trust Clerk creates and maintains trust account records, notices and reports. Prepares expense checks and may administer charge fees according to the requests of account administrator. Being a Trust Clerk may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Trust Clerk may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years college degree or equivalent work in financial, legal or trust industries.
Minimum 2 years experience in Trust Administration
Knowledge of Trust laws, rules and regulations
Detail oriented, organized and able to work under pressure
Type of Position
This is a full-time position with hours and days of work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel Requirements
May involve some travel to branch locations and also out-of-area and overnight travel required for training purposes.
Confidentiality is of utmost importance. Must not share any information regarding clients with anyone in family, friends, spouse, public, etc.
Maintain close customer contact regarding portfolio management. Be a team player with all members of the Department. Know the legal aspects of Trust Administration in order to make proper administrative decisions. Research and review of customer files and possess good teamwork abilities. Maintain proper file documentation. Serve as legal consultant for the Department.
