Accounting Clerk
Seemann Composites is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our accounting and finance team. In this role you will provide general support to the accounting department.
Essential Job Requirements:
Primarily responsible for the areas of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.
- Review, process and post weekly labor and bi-weekly payroll.
- Maintain payroll/labor/employee related information.
- Reconcile labor/payroll transactions and related activities according to policies.
- Help provide and prepare information for reports and/or audits in a timely manner.
- Apply accounting principles, regulations, and policies.
- Ensure company and employee information is kept confidential.
- Perform accounts payable function by matching purchase orders to invoices, entering the invoices into accounting software according to department policies and deadlines, and prepare checks, ACH transactions, and wire payments.
- Prepare billings for submission to customers and ensure all billings are accurate and in compliance with applicable FAR, internal processes, and other contract requirements.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable aging report and communicate to customers regarding past-due invoices.
- Research and resolve any discrepancies, to include communication with employees, vendors, and customers.
- Due to the nature of our work, United States Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) is required.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with lookups, sumifs, etc. Ability to demonstrate.
- Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to think critically and multi task numerous projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and/or 3 years’ experience.

Essential Physical Requirement:
- Stand; bend, kneel, bend/ twist, walk, stoop, crouch, sit and perform highly repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Vision abilities required are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception ability to adjust focus.
