Trust Operations Officer directs the work of Trust Operations team in large and complex trust operations. Ensures that transactions are balanced and documented according to policies and procedures. Being a Trust Operations Officer oversees the input and maintenance of data in accounting systems and report generation. Coordinates the processing of dividends and disbursements. Additionally, Trust Operations Officer may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Trust Operations Officer manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Trust Operations Officer typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Trust Operations Associate - New Accounts

  • Position Summary: In compliance with established policies and procedures the Trust Operations Associate – New Account Set-up is responsible for the establishment of new accounts and updating of client-related data to the trust system. Verifies that the new account data is accurate, complete, and processed promptly. Maintains open communication with colleagues and external financial institutions to ensure that the set-up process is handled accurately and efficiently.


    Essential Functions:

    • Provides daily trust administration and support in a growth oriented, team focused and transformational environment.
    • Responsible for the timely and accurate set up of new accounts and monitors the new account process by tracking the entire account opening process in Salesforce.
    • Performs subaccount set-up and maintains existing accounts.
    • Follows up with trust administrators with any questions related to the new account set-up.
    • Maintains constant contact with other custodians regarding the transfer status of incoming assets to new accounts.
    • Responsible for the reconciliation of incoming assets, including updating cost basis, to the prior custodian’s statement.
    • Performs transactions to fund new accounts.
    • Responsible for accurately coding the fees upon opening new accounts.
    • OnBase scanning backup.
    • Effectively communicate with clients and associates in a professional manner
    • Performs other duties as required and assigned by management.
    • Required regular attendance at the FineMark location designated in this job description, during regular business hours, or assigned hours for the position, is required. This is not a remote-work position


    Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

    • High School graduate or GED.
    • Minimum of two years of banking and/or trust operations experience.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with Salesforce considered a plus.
    • Experience with FIS bank and/or trust applications is considered a plus.
    • Ability to multi-task and accurately assess priorities.
    • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective written and verbal communication.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor required.

    Visual Acuity Requirements. Close visual acuity and the ability to adjust focus, with or without correction, are required to perform activities such as, viewing a computer monitor or written materials and documents; reading; writing; preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; close visual inspection. Some distance vision and color vision may be necessary.

    Environmental Conditions. A person is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and only exposed to moderate noise; they may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts or machinery such as a copier/printer.
