The Operations Supervisor primary responsibility is for providing leadership and guidance to the front of house Food and Beverage/Banquet/Event team. The Operations Supervisor role will at times also assist in all areas of the hotel to include Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, Banquets, and Food & Beverage. S/he will work with the team to ensure guest satisfaction and optimum performance. This position is fully committed to ensuring that all procedures are performed to the department and company standards and serve as an ambassador for CoralTree and Hyatt.
The Operations Supervisor role maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction. Assists managers with leading and supervising the team. Ensures supplies are properly stocked; assists with ordering supplies as necessary. Assists with coordinating inventory control. Utilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs. Assists managers with new hire and termination paperwork. Participates in staff meetings and agenda. Attends mandatory weekly and monthly department meetings and appropriate hotel and division meetings. Conduct pre-shift meetings at shift changeovers to effectively communicate relevant information to team members.
Reports any needed repair immediately to Engineering using correct procedures. Ensures proper bookkeeping and hotel policies are followed. Responsible for daily reports and manager log book entries. Supports team with staff duties as necessary. Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment. Assists the Managers with preparing and monitoring budget of expenditures and projected incomes.
