Job Summary:
This position performs duties such as enforcing farmers’ market rules and regulations; providing services to farmers, dealers, and public in the sale of produce; accounting for receipts collected; assisting in the maintenance, sanitation, and security at the State Farmers Market.

· Responsible for compiling reports of deposits made and monies received.
· May require holding of a State Purchasing card for market use.
· Will work directly with Market Administration Procurement to obtain purchase orders for supplies and market services.

Job Description:
· Manages the planning, development, and implementation of operational support services for a facility.
· Develops and implements policies and procedures.
· Manages subordinate supervisors and staff. Manages large, full-time, year-round state farmers’ markets in Cairo, Moultrie, Thomasville, Valdosta, and other markets as needed that provide an outlet for the sale of products by farmers, retailers, and wholesalers.
· Provides direction to farmers in the sale of produce to consumers.
· Works directly with Market Tenants regarding maintenance, sanitation, and security issues. Works cooperatively with other internal divisions, programs, and administrative support towards common goal and mission.
· Will require travel to each Market to assess operations each week or as often as needed to effectively manage staff, operations, and projects.
Physical demands
Spending time outside in the elements during all seasons may require lifting to 50 lbs., extended periods of driving, and long periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Working knowledge of Windows operating system & applications
· Communication & customer service skills
· Experience overseeing short- & long-term projects
· Building maintenance & property management experience

· Knowledge of agriculture farming practices associated.
