Basic Function:
Individuals are systems administrators that normally operate independently with little to no intervention from more senior staff members in resolving all but the most complex problems. These individuals assist more senior staff members in the training and development of more junior staff.
Primary Responsibility:
1. 40% Provide participation in production support.
2. 25% Configure the layout of UNIX hardware, software and application components.
3. 10% Document all system configuration details.
4. 10% Actively assist the application support teams in the resolution of escalated application issues.
5. 10% Coordinate with CXO organization to ensure timely completion and prioritization of projects.
6. 5% Work with the various CXO organizations to design and implement new services and products, providing input on architecture, system sizing, and fault tolerance.
