    Peraton is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to support the Peraton Team on the Application Arsenal (AA) program.

     

    Peraton provides engineering services including architecture, software development, cybersecurity engineering, test & integration planning, integration, fielding, quality assurance, documentation, and sustainment support of various Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) software applications and initiatives including the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEOC4I) Storefront (STFNT)/AA. This effort includes systems engineering, software development, and sustainment of these systems to allow their users to access, manipulate, and display relevant data for the users’ mission. Peraton currently provides support in the areas of system administration, cybersecurity, operations and maintenance, and the analysis, assessment, and transition of emerging technologies to support DoD other government agency applications.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

    • Maintaining system patches, as well as operating system, in accordance with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance.
    • Scanning systems and assisting the team in remediating vulnerabilities using ACAS.
    • Administrating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Window or Linux-based workstations, enterprise IT servers, systems software requirements, and analytical support.
    • Providing guidance, assistance, coordination, and follow-up on complex problems and ensures resolution.
    • Working with application developers and operations to support production applications
    • Performing server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, research event log warnings and errors, resource monitoring and resolution, while ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
    • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliability of cloud hosted EC2 instances, including improvements to AWS infrastructure.
    • Identifying and providing the need for new patches, upgrades, configurations, or new instances.
    • Hybrid positiion that is flexible for occasional telework – must be local to work location.

    Qualifications

    Required qualifications:

    • 0 years with BS/BA, 4 years with no degree
    • Active/Current DoD Secret or higher
    • Certifications Required: IAT level II certification (e.g. Security or, A and Network ) and complete the required operating system (OS) courses to obtain certifications
    • 0-2 years system administration experience related to:
      • Linux operating systems (i.e., RHEL, CentOS)
      • Windows Server Operating Systems (i.e., 2019, 2016)
      • Virtual machines (i.e., VMware, VirtualBox, Hyper-V)
      • Cloud computing infrastructure (i.e., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure)
      • Information Assurance Compliance (i.e., STIGs, ACAS, ENS/HBSS)
      • Automation and Scripting (i.e., Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc)
    • Experience with software testing
    • Experience with user support

    Desired qualifications:

    • DoD accreditation experience (i.e., A&A, RMF, ATO)
    • Containerization (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
    • Infrastructure-as-Code (i.e., Ansible, Vagrant, Terraform, CloudFormation)
    • Identity management administration (i.e., Active Directory, AWS IAM, OpenAM)
    • Cloud infrastructure management tools (i.e., AWS Systems Manager, Azure Monitor)

    Target Salary Range

    $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
