Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware/software and applications software and ensures scalability and appropriate integration with other systems. Being a UNIX Systems Administrator, Sr. detects, diagnoses, and reports UNIX related problems on both UNIX server and UNIX desktop systems. Responsible for backup or recovery procedures. Additionally, UNIX Systems Administrator, Sr. typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. UFG is currently seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator to Install, configure, maintain, and perform intermediate troubleshooting of new and existing infrastructure and networking technologies, including but not limited to Windows server, PC, Linux, and application software of moderate complexity. Maintain stable operation of company infrastructure and provide optimal performance across UFG’s Locations. Follow best practices for configuration, maintenance, and security of Infrastructure hardware/software. Communicate to other teams as necessary any projects requiring downtime and any issues that may arise. Provide monitoring and reporting for all aspects of the company network infrastructure and performance.
