We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with the analysis of biological data, including single cell RNA-seq analysis and multi-omics integration. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research projects and make a significant impact on the development of new therapies in the area of immunology and respiratory diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform bulk and single cell RNA-seq data analysis, including quality control, normalization, clustering, and differential expression analysis as well as downstream analyses like pathway activation, trajectory, and ligand receptor analysis.
Assist with the integration of multi-omics data, such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, to uncover novel biological insights.
Interpret and visualize complex biological data to generate actionable insights for ongoing research projects.
Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Build, maintain and extend Shiny applications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in bioinformatics and data analysis techniques, and develop innovative analysis approaches to improve existing workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data analysis workflows and pipelines.
Treat data with a high level of integrity, comply with all applicable regulations and maintain proper records in accordance with SOPs and company policies.
Skills:
Strong programming skills in R and/or Python and prior experience building Shiny web applications.
Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and high-performance computing clusters, including experience with UNIX shell scripting and Nextflow pipelines.
Prior experience conducting single cell RNA-seq data analysis, including the use of popular tools and packages (e.g., Seurat, Scanpy) is required.
Proficiency in multi-omics data integration and prior experience with spatial data analysis is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle large and complex datasets.
Demonstrated ability to produce well-designed and documented code and to troubleshoot both individually and as part of a team.
A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear, transparent, timely and consistent manner and to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Education:
Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field OR Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience in a STEM discipline.
