     We are looking for a professional, service-oriented team player to join our very busy IT Department located in Metairie, Louisiana.  This is full time nonexempt role and is eligible for overtime.  This role will require some minimal travel to the surrounding locations.  

     General Summary: The IT Systems Administrator will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing the IT systems that support our healthcare operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of servers, networks, and related infrastructure. This position requires a proactive and skilled professional with a deep understanding of healthcare IT systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality technical support.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer, configure, and maintain servers to ensure optimal performance.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across the network.
    • Monitor and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Provide technical support for healthcare-specific applications, collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders.
    • Manage data backup and recovery solutions, ensuring the safeguarding of critical healthcare information.
    • Enforce security policies and procedures to protect patient data and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
    • Collaborate with the IT team on system upgrades and enhancements, maintaining comprehensive documentation.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, preferably in a healthcare environment.
    • Familiarity with healthcare information systems, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
    • Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux server environments.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
    • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
    • Security certifications such as CISSP, or CISM are desirable.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

     

    Job Type: Full-time Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm
