UNIX Systems Administrator, Sr. is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's UNIX operating systems and all related systems or software. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware/software and applications software and ensures scalability and appropriate integration with other systems. Being a UNIX Systems Administrator, Sr. detects, diagnoses, and reports UNIX related problems on both UNIX server and UNIX desktop systems. Responsible for backup or recovery procedures. Additionally, UNIX Systems Administrator, Sr. typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The UNIX Systems Administrator, Sr. contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Sr. Automation Test/Software Engineer

  • In this role, you have the opportunity to
    Develop and support RF test automation systems for aerospace and defense programs. Our test systems automate the RF testing and calibration of our products which includes: controlling the device under test, RF test equipment, switch matrices, ovens and temperature plates, performing RF measurements, and collecting, storing and processing data. Role involves working with hardware and software--Strong RF test and programming skills are required.

    Worksite location options:

    • Onsite: Oxnard, CA
    • Hybrid: 2-3 days in office and WFH the remainder of the week (based on business needs)
    • Remote: 100% WFH is not authorized based on business needs and company culture

    You are responsible for:

    • Building and supporting RF test automation hardware and software.
    • Design, assemble, and validate new RF test systems for use in a production environment.
    • Create automation tools for use by RF and digital engineers during product development.
    • Maintain and upgrade existing systems.

    You are a part of

    A team of automated test, software, RF, digital and mechanical engineers who develop new RF products and support production of existing products.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience and 5 years of professional development experience
    • Proficient with RF test equipment such as:
      • Signal Generators
      • Spectrum Analyzers
      • Network Analyzers
      • Noise Figure Meters.
    • Proficient with RF measurements such as:
      • Gain
      • VSWR
      • IMD
      • P1dB
      • Spurious
      • Phase Noise
    • Proficient lab bench and hardware skills: soldering, mechanical assembly.
    • Proficient with Windows Office tools, especially Excel.
    • Proficient in C#/F#/Java/Python or similar.
    • Experience with software team collaboration tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jira
    • Must have a security clearance or be eligible to be granted one

    Preferred Experience:

    • Experience with Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code (Preferred).
    • Experience with SQL/Databases (Preferred).

    Full-Time Equivalent Annual Salary Range: $92,000 - $149,000 for a Technical Individual Contributor III at Oxnard, CA USA

    The disclosed salary range is a general guideline for Mercury team members employed at the job level at the location listed above and does not include overtime for eligible hourly employees.

    * education, training, skills and certifications;
    * internal equity with others employed by Mercury in similar roles;
