Schuyler Hospital is looking for a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist. The candidate will be responsible for Producing high quality ultrasound images in accordance with New York State Department of Health, Federal Department of Health and Human Services guidelines and regulations. Performing specialized US procedures including US guided biopsies, FNA's, and joint injections. Utilizing PACS to store images, utilizes RIS and HIS to process patient information. Performing exams in other imaging modalities as qualified and required. Providing radiation protection and safety to patients, hospital staff and medical staff. Assisting with quality control/quality assurance and minor maintenance of imaging equipment. Providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff with an emphasis on quality service and excellent patient care. Shall be oriented in the appropriate care handling of patients from all age groups: assists with radiology department office procedures: performs on-call duties as required. Employee is self-motivated and demonstrates ability to work as a team.
