Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Being an Ultrasound Technologist records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. May require an associate degree in a related area. Additionally, Ultrasound Technologist typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Ultrasound Technologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS) to join our team in the Charlotte, NC area. As an Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS), you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced equipment to produce high-quality images of the body's internal structures.

    We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS) to join our team in the Charlotte, NC area. As an Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS), you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced equipment to produce high-quality images of the body's internal structures.

    The ideal candidate for this position will be an ARDMS-registered Ultrasound Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Job Responsibilities for the Ultrasound Technologist:

    • Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient
    • Assists Radiologists in the performance of invasive procedures
    • Evaluate the technical quality of exams and develop a superior varied technique for elevated efficiency in the department
    • Reports malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer, and/or Engineer.
    • Operates the Radiology computer system to include entering and charging exams and supplies.
    • Maintains assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
    • Assists in keeping the area completely stocked.
    • Adheres to departmental rules and regulations while performing professionally always
    • 4/10’s shift, Monday-Thursday 7 pm-5:30 am

    Minimum Requirements for the Ultrasound Technologist:

    • Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S) required
    • BLS HCP certification from AHA is required.
