Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Being an Ultrasound Technologist records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. May require an associate degree in a related area. Additionally, Ultrasound Technologist typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Ultrasound Technologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Description:
The selected applicant will be eligible for up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus and will provide health care related imaging services to patients of all ages through the use of ultrasonic recording in the areas of OB/GYN, general abdomen, vascular system and small parts. The Ultrasound Technologist duties are performed within the framework of Sampson Regional Medical Center policies and procedures and current professional standards.

Hours of Work:
Hours will be 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with rotating call. Planned schedule is work 3 days one week, 4 days the next week, 4 days the following week and 3 days again. May work other hours or days for the effective operation of department.
