Ultrasound Technologist jobs in Helena, MT

Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Being an Ultrasound Technologist records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. May require an associate degree in a related area. Additionally, Ultrasound Technologist typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Ultrasound Technologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be an Ultrasound Technologist typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

    The Journeyman Registered Ultrasonographer is involved with the day-to-day Ultrasound Department operations located within Diagnostic Imaging.

    Shift Details:

    • Full time, 40 hours per week, Day Shift

    Required qualifications:

    • Coursework/Training: Graduate of an Ultrasound program accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiologic Technology Education (JRCRTE) Or equivalent educ/experience
    • Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or
    • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography
    • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

    Preferred qualifications:

    • 2 years' experience
