Ultrasound Technologist jobs in Kansas City, MO

Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Being an Ultrasound Technologist records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. May require an associate degree in a related area. Additionally, Ultrasound Technologist typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Ultrasound Technologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be an Ultrasound Technologist typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

  • As an Ultrasound Technologist for Swope Health Service, you will part of a team of caregivers that provide care for the people who need it most. As an Ultrasound Technologist you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological and anatomical data. You will build relationships with our patients answering all questions and advocating for the patient with providers. If you have a passion for helping others, this is the role for you.

    Successful Candidates will have:

    • Successful completion of an approved program in Ultrasound.
    • Current BLS at time of hire.
    • One year of experience.
    • Licenses by RDMS, to include vascular and ARRT (R) (Preferred)

    The Ultrasound Technologist role is eligible for a one time $1000 sign on bonus.
