Ultrasound Technologist jobs in Longview, TX
Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Being an Ultrasound Technologist records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. May require an associate degree in a related area. Additionally, Ultrasound Technologist typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Ultrasound Technologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be an Ultrasound Technologist typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

ResponsibilitiesPerforms radiology procedures for all ages (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) by utilizing ionizing radiation and/or other imaging modalities in order to aid in the diagnoses and treatment of disease. Subject to overtime and call back as required by hospital.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- CPR Certified (all levels) Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire date
- Must be licensed by the State of Texas
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Certification in C.T., MRI, Special Procedures, or Ultrasound
