Ultrasound Technologist jobs in Portland, OR

Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Being an Ultrasound Technologist records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. May require an associate degree in a related area. Additionally, Ultrasound Technologist typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Ultrasound Technologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Our client is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join their organization.

    This role is onsite in Oregon City, Oregon. This role offers Full-Time, Part-Time, and On-Call schedules with flexibility to match your needs.

    Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities
    Performs ultrasound examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment, taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs.

    Ultrasound Technologist Qualifications
    • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
    • Board eligible for certification at American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
    • Oregon Sonographer upon hire, Or Oregon Sonographer Temporary upon hire.
    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
    • National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
    • New graduates must be board-eligible and obtain certification (ARDMS) within 6 months of hire.
    • New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

    Preferred:
    • 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound.

    Salary: $84,219-$135,969/year. (DOE)
