Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Being an Ultrasound Technologist records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. May require an associate degree in a related area. Additionally, Ultrasound Technologist typically requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Ultrasound Technologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic and elective fetal keepsake ultrasound examinations in a relaxed and warm environment! The right candidate will be able to produce high quality 3D/4D and HD keepsake ultrasound images and must be highly skilled in accurate gender determination. The highly experienced technologist will also be able to perform diagnostic examinations, interpret orders, communicate with radiologists and prepare accurate reporting of findings to our Medical Director.
Job Requirements:
The right candidate should be able to hit the ground running and enjoy working with expecting families. Responsible for performing sonographic exams with patient experience and comfort as top priority and in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, and ALARA principles. Utilizes a variety of specialized equipment to produce high quality sonographic images, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient related information. Contributes to the overall excellence of Ultrasound Express through commitment to patient experience and customer service.
Schedule:
20-30 hours per week, Wednesday - Friday with flexible hours.
