    Summary: Develop, support and maintain relationships with Insureds and Agents to provide concierge service. Answers and responds to incoming calls from policyholders and agents inquiring about small to mid-size commercial policy coverage accounts on behalf of our client, the carrier.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Receives incoming phone calls for endorsement activity, in-depth coverage questions, routine coverage questions, renewals, and checking and issuing binders, certificates and policies.
    • Experience with worker's compensation underwriting, including a solid understanding of relevant regulations and risk assessment methodologies.
    • Quotes new business, policies and/or coverages for new and existing clients, on behalf of the carrier.
    • Prepares and/or order policy change requests.
    • Reviews expirations in advance of the renewal date to review coverage's.
    • Prepares and/ provides service and support to other sales agents.
    • Actively seeks to cross-sell other coverages to existing clients.
    • Takes claim information and report new claims to the company.
    • Maintains adequate suspense on outstanding items and follow up in a timely manner until its conclusion.

    Qualifications:

    Education/Experience:

    Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, business degree preferred; or two (2) to four (4) years Agency experience in Personal & Commercial Lines including homeowners and other lines; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years' experience servicing or selling Property & Casualty Insurance Commercial policies. Previous call center experience a plus

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and clients. Bilingual (English and Spanish) language skills preferred.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Computer Technical Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and Internet browser applications. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment, including scanner, copier, fax machine, and calculator.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    Active Property and Casualty license and ability to be licensed in all 50 states required.

    Physical Demands:

    Ability to work a rotating shift, with hours extending to 8:00pm ET.
