Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for full cycle underwriting of assigned small business funding.
- To determine business and merchant’s credit worthiness based on the stability, trend, and growth of the business by analyzing the business’s revenue, business’s liabilities/obligations to senior creditors, expenses/overheads and general credit and background of the business and merchant.
- Determine the ability of the client to deliver purchased receivables bought by FundKite through the analysis of the client’s overall business financials.
- Perform detailed financial analysis on the business, including trend and ratio analysis, and interpret past, current, and future risks.
- Perform credit analysis and financial statement analysis on co-owners, guarantors, and individuals to determine additional risks and exposure.
- Perform other due diligence as needed to determine the creditworthiness of the business and its owners.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to read and assess individual and company financial statements, cash flow, industry, and competitive analysis and projections.
- Proficient in various spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Basic knowledge of credit principles, lending operations, lending research, and general credit policies
- Team player with the ability to take the initiative.
- Detail oriented, ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem recognition and resolution skills
Experience
- Credit Analysis: 2 years (Preferred)
- Underwriting: 2 years (Preferred)
Education:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred.
