Underwriting Assistant provides support and assistance to underwriting staff. Performs administrative duties regarding new and renewal accounts, risk assessments, and loss runs and loss ratings. Being an Underwriting Assistant may assist underwriters with the computation of rates and premiums. Typically requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Underwriting Assistant typically reports to a supervisor. The Underwriting Assistant works under moderate supervision. Schedule/Hours:
This position is usually 5 days per week Monday-Friday. Schedule varies but usually between the hours of 7:00am - 4:30pm. Some weeks you will just work a half day on either Monday or Wednesday.
Job duties include:
Patient care including assisting in surgeries and sedations, exams, taking vitals, (Experience with dental assisting or other patient care in a healthcare setting is preferred)
Sterilizing equipment and cleaning patient rooms
Taking x-rays (we can get you certified if you are not already)
BLS certification will be required, but can be completed after you are hired.
We are looking for a team-player who can handle a fast-paced environment, enjoys working hard, and is comfortable and friendly working with patients and other staff members.
Cross-trained to help with front desk, scheduling, and answering phones
Interviews:
Interviews will be conducted at our office on Thursday, April 4th and Tuesday, April 9th and should take 15-30 minutes. A few candidates will be invited to do a second interview that will be scheduled as a longer working interview.
