Underwriting Assistant provides support and assistance to underwriting staff. Performs administrative duties regarding new and renewal accounts, risk assessments, and loss runs and loss ratings. Being an Underwriting Assistant may assist underwriters with the computation of rates and premiums. Typically requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Underwriting Assistant typically reports to a supervisor. The Underwriting Assistant works under moderate supervision. As Medical Records Reviewer, you will review medical records as they are received, and document all pertinent medical impairments, along with calculating their current age. Attention to detail is essential. All names, Date of Births and genders need to be verified as correct. This job will also be responsible for overseeing the transfer and retention of medical records and making sure they're appropriately organized and filed. Our company is seeking a employee who makes decisions carefully and accurately, can work well under pressure.
- Reviews medical records.
- Looks for any errors in claimant information.
- Sends and receives records.
- Reviews daily reports for errors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
