Underwriting Assistant

**Onsite - near Wilkes-Barre, PA**

Description:

Utilize company underwriting criteria to evaluate risks for various lines of business Will independently search for information using internal tools and the internet.

Perform independent verification of insured's operations

Review and process change requests on in-force policies

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in any area of the following areas of insurance highly desired: professional liability, small business, workers comp, general liability, business owners (BOP), commercial auto or umbrella

Strong math and reading skills

Strong investigative skills

Adaptability in a constantly changing environment, including changes to technology, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory conditions

Open to candidates with a Bachelors or Associates degree - can be in business or other fields such as Psychology, English, Communication, etc.
