Underwriting Supervisor oversees activities of the underwriting department. Provides supervision for a group of underwriters who review, analyze, and inspect insurance risk. Being an Underwriting Supervisor analyzes various rate plans utilizing a company's claims history to determine the appropriate rate plan and benefits costs. Must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. Additionally, Underwriting Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor.     How You’ll Make a Difference:

    As a Supervisor, you will report to the Manager and perform daily front office tasks and duties to help create lasting impressions and build trust and loyalty with patients. When you join an Aspen Dental practice, you’ll participate in an eight-week training program to succeed in your role.

    • Provide superior patient service with compassion and care in accordance with patient needs, company policies and procedures, government regulations, and dental board standards
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
    • Consult with patients on treatment options provided by clinical team, verifying insurance payment and collection ensuring high quality of care
    • Under the direction of the Manager, supervise and reinforce the daily tasks and priorities of the non-clinical team
    • Review data day to day to evaluate the impact on the practice
    • Oversee scheduling and confirming patient appointments
    • Verify insurance payment, collection, balance nightly deposits and credit card processing
    • Additional tasks assigned by the Manager
    Preferred Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
    • Demonstrate analytical thinking; place a premium on leveraging data
    • Organized and detail oriented
