Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises the Poker Attendants, working alongside the Team, observing guest interactions, resolving guest concerns and preventing discrepancies.
- Assists in the evaluation of Poker Team Members, providing support and information as requested by management.
- Trains and develops the Team, making recommendations to management regarding additional training needs and corrective actions.
- Ensures game activity and procedures follow Poker Policies and procedures and internal controls.
- Remains current on authorized regulatory standards and requirements of Poker.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the Poker Room and areas.
- Maintains the operation of Jackpot Digital Poker Tables.
- Creates Poker Tournament and Promotions, working with Marketing to provide information to the guests.
- Answers all questions by guests and inputs their personal information into the database if applicable.
- Safeguards Poker assets and balances.
- Explains Poker rules and procedures to guests.
- Maintains a cash bank for their shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary.
- Notifies Security of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity.
- Monitors supplies and orders inventory as needed.
- Resolves or refers to management all guest concerns, complaints or suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service.
- Other duties as directed by management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours.
- Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY
- Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have 2 years’ experience in a gaming environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possess an advanced knowledge of Poker.
- General understanding of computer programs, including all windows applications required.
- Must participate in Title 31 training one time per year.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
- Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
- Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
