Elevated Wine Experience (EWX), provides a one-of-a-kind wine tasting . Our Tasting Room Attendants create wonderful experiences and education for our Guests. In a unique and varied role, Tasting Room Attendants are responsible for providing wine tastings, cheese tastings, handling retail sales, and answering calls. From the wine education and company training they will receive from us, the Tasting Room Attendant will share with our guests their knowledge of our wines, products, and company. REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 21 years of age
• Passion for people, wine, food, and service!
• Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills
• Hard-working, team player
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; basic reading, listening, and speaking skills
• Ability to perform essential functions to EWX standards with reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers, and team members
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Experience in a casual dining or upscale dining environment or retail sales preferred
• Experience in a wine environment or equivalent is preferred
• Must follow safety and sanitation procedures
• Must pass Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire date per California State Law ($7.75)
• Certified in responsible alcohol service (where required by state, city, or municipality), EWX will help provide if needed. ($12.95)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet all visitors and pour wines for tasting
• Assist with the display and stocking of retail items and wines
• Follow EWX cash handling procedures
• Provide general tourist information
• Assist with special events as needed
• Educate visitors on the winery, describe wines, winemaking techniques, and answer visitors’ questions about wines.
• Act as an informed resource for consumers regarding wine making, wine growing, wine vintages, availability of products, and brand awards and accolades.
• Prepare the Tasting Room for daily opening and closing
• Promotes the sale of wine and non-wine products sold in the Tasting Room
• Handles routine purchasing transactions (including operating cash register and accounting of daily sales).
• Supports display and stocking of retail items and wines and hospitality special events; participates in inventories.
• Checks identification as required by state regulation for servicing alcoholic beverages.
• Recognizes the symptoms of intoxication and informs the manager on duty.
• Represents the company and brand professionally, graciously, and enthusiastically.
• Maintain cleanliness of the tasting room and other winery common areas.
• Attend and participate in all tasting room meetings and other general winery meetings as scheduled.
• Follow the directions of supervisors or managers
