    The Opportunity:

    The Senior Manager of UX/UI is responsible for consumer-first, mobile first, and rapidly evolving site experiences that drive sales, conversion, and engagement. You will collaborate with stakeholders and teams to define boundary pushing and novel UX designs that make it easy for consumers to find what they are looking for and to bring our brands to life. You will lead the UX/UI team for two e-commerce sites and partner with cross functional teams to facilitate its execution.

    What Your Impact Will Be:

    • Build and optimize a mobile first, seamless, flexible web experience on our Collector site, Mattel Creations, and our Shopper Site, Shop.Mattel.com, driving sales, conversion, and engagement
    • Leverage a forward-looking, strategic mindset in UX/UI design, to drive regular evolution of site experience, with a lens to making it easier for consumers to shop/ engage on our sites
    • Balance workload with focus across strategic, tactical, and research projects
    • Own and communicate the long-term and short-term vision for UX/UI
    • Design net new consumer journeys in line with business needs (i.e., subscription, improved checkout)
    • Champion new process developments and existing process improvements to achieve efficiencies (i.e., new feature launch, improved design handoffs to developers)
    • Create, distribute, and enforce UX/UI design guides and best practices (i.e., design guides, design systems)
    • Prioritize projects based on a clear understanding of user and business needs
    • Regularly shop the E-commerce sites and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Lead a team of UX/UI designers
    • Partner closely with Product Management Team to deliver designs in line with timelines set in Product Roadmap
    • Own UX AB Testing strategy and report findings and outcomes to E-Commerce Team
    • Report monthly to E-Commerce Team on new trends, findings, opportunities, and progress vs. business goals
    • Partner with Creative Teams to deliver designs that amplify our brands, provide clear recommendations and/or options for Creative to react to, based on research and strategic vision
    • Partner with brand teams across the Mattel family to develop experiences that support product catalogues and brand initiatives
    • Facilitate and influence decision making with trade-off considerations for speed

    What We're Looking For:

    • Minimum 10 years of experience or equivalent accomplishments in E-Commerce UX/ UI Design
    • Have a full understanding of the consumer journey through purchase funnel to customer retention
    • Strong research capability coupled with strong strategic vision and perspective for site experience (short term and long term)
    • At least 5 years of experience leading UX/UI designers
    • Experience leading projects with an ability to make quick decisions and effectively communicate updates/next steps
    • Experience working on multiple projects at a time
    • Ability to navigate a complex environment of multiple teams and moving parts
    • Ability to analyse data and turn analytics into actionable insights and designs
    • Excellent reporting and presentation skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Knowledge of digital/e-commerce practices in SEO, SEM, merchandising, navigation, marketing, etc.Demonstrated agrowth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

    The annual base salary range for this position is between $145,600 and $180,000
    **This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
