    Summary

    This position will focus on serving current and potential members of Samaritan Ministries International (SMI) by becoming the end-to-end customer journey experience expert. The User Researcher will drive various research projects to deliver customer insights in order to improve processes and interactions that will result in a better experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Recommending, planning, developing, and conducting primary research methods such as user/customer interviews, focus groups, persona development, surveys and other user/customer research methods.
    • Analyzing and reporting primary research insights both qualitatively and quantitatively using Qualtrics, UserZoom, or a similar research, reporting, and analysis research platform.
    • Preparing and facilitating workshops and journey mapping sessions with key stakeholders in all departments.
    • Identify trends, behaviors, and opportunities through secondary research.
    • Work alongside Product Designers, Program Managers, Developers, Membership Experience, and other core groups to identify research objectives and deliver key insights along the product lifecycle.
    • Contribute to ministry-wide research strategy and work with departmental leaders to drive plans to completion.
    • Collaborate with Business Intelligence to leverage existing experience data and provide meaningful recommendations.
    • Act as a liaison of member feedback and effectively communicate compelling insights to all other departments as needed.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Four-year degree from an accredited university or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3 years of experience in User/Customer Research preferred
    • Experience with UX Design a plus
    • Staff are required to possess applicable knowledge to bring value to SMI in this role, know and utilize resources well, ask questions to ensure full understanding. gain and retain knowledge to keep up with changes, and accept and engage with training to grow knowledge for current and future responsibilities.
    • Broad knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods that support the design and development of digital products
    • Methods for synthesizing usability findings and design recommendations
    • Quant/behavioral analysis (Intermediate)
    • Knowledgeable in industry research and design tools (e.g., UserZoom, Qualtrics, Figma, Trello, Tableau)
    • Agile and Scrum methodologies

    Additional Information

    • Tasks are normally conducted in a regular office environment, requiring use of computer and mouse and other standard office equipment. Staff usually remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
    • Staff will observe safety principles while performing the duties of the position.
    • Staff will be required to travel and have a valid driver’s license.
    • May need to lift and move items up to 35 lbs on occasion.
