OVERVIEW :
The Accessible User Experience (AUX) Support Tester is a key, temporary position at LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired (LightHouse) in San Francisco (with the potential to convert to a full-time role after 9-months).
The AUX Specialist reports to the Director of AUX. We are seeking a passionate and experienced AUX Specialist to support our efforts in ensuring that technology and digital experiences are accessible to individuals who are blind or low vision.
The AUX Specialist will play a crucial role in advocating for and advancing accessibility standards / practices and partnering with organizations to improve the accessibility of their products / services in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors and the broader community.
This position will involve supporting accessibility / usability testing initiatives, UX research studies, and accessible UX trainings, along with collaborating with stakeholders and supporting strong relationships with corporate companies to promote accessibility best practices.
