User Liaison serves as a liaison between systems personnel and end users, such as a client or business unit. Provides systems analysis to ensure the needs of the user are met. Being a User Liaison may assist in system implementation or training. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, User Liaison typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a User Liaison typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. We are looking for a Liaison for our Emergency and Neurology Service!!
1. Provide a link between referral sources and Shoreline
2. Coordinate with Doctor in charge to contact inpatient clients at least once daily with an update and photo, either by text message or phone call.
3. Keep open lines of communication with clients
4. Establish and maintain relationship with clients.
5. Contact all clients within 48 hours of discharge with lab results and check INS (inpatient or outpatient).
6. Discharge inpatients
7. Be available to clients when they are visiting their pets that are staying in the hospital to answer any questions or concerns that they may have.
8. If there is a delay, i.e. the doctor is behind schedule, keep clients informed of expected waiting time
9. Obtain patient medical records for admission if being transferred from pDVMs
10. Ensure that communications between doctors and pDVMs / clients are documented daily.
11. Creating treatment plans, going over them, and obtaining deposit.
12. Ensure that charges are entered and accurate daily.
13. Ensure clients are updated: Estimates / bills/new deposits.
14. Follow up on pending labs for finalization and to be reported to client.
15. Filling inpatient and outpatient prescriptions.
16. Oversee patient bloodwork running in house and check to ensure patient bloodwork is sent out.
Job Requirements:
Must be comfortable dealing with people and pets in emergency situations.
Dependable attendance is required.
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Must work well with all members of the hospital and senior staff, and maintain high standards of patient/client confidentiality
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Previous experience or training/education in a veterinary facility.
2. Must be friendly, outgoing, “people oriented”
3. Must have excellent communication skills.
4. Must be capable of being cross-trained for front office receptionist duties that will be expected in the job.
5. Telephone and computer skills are necessary.
6. Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments and to accept change.
