User Liaison serves as a liaison between systems personnel and end users, such as a client or business unit. Provides systems analysis to ensure the needs of the user are met. Being a User Liaison may assist in system implementation or training. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, User Liaison typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a User Liaison typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Functions as an internal member of the patient care team to enhance smooth Unit operations through communication and teamwork. Greets, instructs, directs visitors and provides assistance as necessary. Functions as a liaison between visitors, physicians, Surgery department, Surgicare, PACU and in-patient units. Contributes to the efficient patient flow through the perioperative area via phones, pagers, and face-to-face interaction, collaboration and information sharing with physicians, staff and visitors. Provides clerical support including building of patient charts. Provides feedback regarding the family notification process to the perioperative director, nurse managers of surgery, Surgicare, and PACU.
Minimal high school diploma. Previous experience working in a perioperative department preferred. Medical secretarial experience preferred.
