ABOUT THE ROLE

This role demands strong Python and Linux skills. We seek a full-time Cloud Operations Analyst proficient in Python scripting within Linux environments and experienced with cloud services like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Our Cloud Operations team is vital to our success, enabling us to offer UX Research expertise within the cloud and developer realms. As a Cloud Operations Analyst, you will empower our UX Researchers by managing cloud environments and serving as their go-to expert for developer technologies.

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and dismantle cloud-based services across Azure, AWS, and GCP to facilitate short-duration UX research tests.
• Create and manage environments that replicate real-business service usage, including the necessary assets (e.g., compute instances, networks, web apps).
• Develop Python scripts to automate the deployment and management of cloud services, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
• Communicate the functionality of complex systems to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring they understand and can engage with the research effectively.
• Learn and adapt to new cloud services, utilizing documentation to establish and troubleshoot these platforms under tight deadlines.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Demonstrated proficiency in Python, with a focus on scripting for automation in cloud and Linux contexts.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), demonstrating the ability to leverage cloud resources effectively.

• Ability to articulate technical processes to both colleagues and clients, ensuring clear understanding across diverse audiences.
• Quick learner with a broad technical curiosity, able to grasp and apply new technologies efficiently.
• Familiarity with IDEs supportive of Python, such as VS Code.

Preferred:

• Experience with Bash scripting is beneficial.
• Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible or Terraform is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
