Utilization Review Coordinator conducts utilization reviews to determine if patients are receiving care appropriate to illness or condition. Monitors patient charts and records to evaluate care concurrent with the patients treatment. Being a Utilization Review Coordinator reviews treatment plans and status of approvals from insurers. Collects and complies data as required and according to applicable policies and regulations. Additionally, Utilization Review Coordinator consults with physicians as needed. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. Typically requires Registered Nurse(RN). The Utilization Review Coordinator contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Specialist III, Quality Control is responsible for the review of data generated in the laboratory and to assist Operations Management in the conduct of investigations and other specialized reviews and reports. In addition, the Quality Control Specialist 3 must be sensitive to the demanding regulatory compliance requirements attending to the operation of a pharmaceutical testing laboratory.
Job Functions
Conduct, Lead and mentor other team members in performing Out of Specification and Method Validation Failures (MVF) investigations and ensure they are being performed in an efficient and timely manner
Respond to all customer requests for information pertaining to testing issues in a timely and accurate manner
Perform trending as assigned
Participate in answering customer questions or resolving customer concerns that arise during audit data reviews
Perform all duties for the QC Specialist 2 position
Play a lead role and assist the Team Leader or Department Manager in improving the internal efficiency and overall quality of work performed in the laboratory and within the department review team.
Assist the Team Leader or Department Management in fielding questions and resolving review issues that arise internally within the review team.
Be a source of information on documentation practices both to laboratory personnel and internally within the review team.
Assist in training department personnel as needed.
Play a lead role in becoming a key department source on documentation and OOS investigations both to the laboratory personnel and internally within the Quality Control review team
