Utilization Review Coordinator jobs in Clearwater, FL

The Utilization Coordinator RN/LPN duties include, but not limited to:

• Obtains Authorizations and Approvals from Medicaid and Commercial Insurance companies for all patients.
• Works alongside the UR Manager and assists as needed.
• Reviews individual charts for their appropriateness for Continuing Stay Criteria and proper utilization of services
• Maintains detailed records of all activities and authorizations
• Helps train staff to produce proper documentation
• When needed, interviews clients to gather pertinent clinical data

The ideal candidate would have the following qualities:

• Ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Self-starter/ Self- motivated
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Has knowledge of obtaining authorizations through Medicaid and Commercial insurance companies
• Has knowledge of the mental health and substance abuse fields.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field.

Licensure: RN or LPN
