    Utilization Review Case Coordinator Opportunity:

    Full Time, Day Shift

     

    The Case Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the treatment activities offered to the patient, interface with the treatment team/external case managers/managed care organizations, referring professionals and implementation and supervision of the discharge planning.  Coordinates and tracks all of the admission and continue stay reviews for pre-certifications.  Works closely with Intake/Needs Assessment Department and Clinical Treatment Team to carry out its objectives regarding the provision of utilization management for continued stay reviews.  Actively participates in treatment team and works directly with the patient’s in aftercare planning and setting up appointments and facilitates placement referrals for discharge as appropriate.  Follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as applicable to role and responsibilities.

     

    Ridge Behavioral Health is a 110-bed, behavioral health hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY.   The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, individual counseling, as well as medication management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 36 years.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Master’s degree in Social work, Psychology, or other Mental Health field or RN license is preferred.
    • Minimum Associate Degree with 5 years mental health experience required.

    Experience

    • One to two years of experience in a psychiatric hospital is preferred
    • One to two years of experience in Utilization Management preferred.

    Certifications/Licensure

    • Crisis intervention training required.  This training also offered upon hire.
    • CPR certification

    Other Skills

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
