    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Western Digital hardware engineering group is looking for a skilled and motivated engineer to design and develop EMC (electro-magnetic compatibility) solutions for client and datacenter SSD products. This role is responsible for start to finish ownership of EMC compliance - from specification to design, prototype, testing and manufacturing. Will report to Director of SSD Hardware Validation.

    Test, analyze, and validate SSD products for EMI, ESD, and radiated immunity.

    Expand lab infrastructure and test coverage as needed to prepare for future product architectures and new customer requirements.

    Responsible for test plans, lab setup, test execution, debug, root cause analysis, and report generation.

    Technically lead global SSD EMC hardware group, 4-6 engineers ensuring consistent test coverage and capability at multiple sites.

    Work closely with ASIC, Hardware Design/Layout, FW, and Mechanical Design to develop product level EMC solutions.

    Characterize EMC margin, evaluate competitive analysis, and analyze customer system applications for multiple SSD form factors, including M.2, U.2/U.3, E1.S, E1.L, E3.

    Domestic and International travel as needed (~5%)
