    As a System Compatibility Engineer in the DRAM Engineering Group at Micron, you will join a team responsible for early validation of our DRAM products with our customers' newest technology. This role will include computer system-level failure analysis, characterization, and qualification of our products.

    You will be running and configuring diagnostic software, crafting experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, developing custom tools, and communicating data to customers both inside and outside Micron.

    To accomplish these responsibilities, you will use a variety of equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, multi-meters, etc.). You will work with other specialists within the Systems Compatibility Group as well as multi-functional teams including Application Engineering Groups, Product Engineering, Return Material Authorization (RMA), and throughout Micron.

    On occasion, we may need to travel to carry out responsibilities at a customer site or for development with our partner companies. Lastly, the seniority level offered will be based on a combination of experience and education.

    What’s Encouraged Daily:

    • Lead Micron Product Qualifications with Internal and External Customers
    • Build and develop validation strategies for new or existing technologies which may include developing system test methodologies and memory diagnostic tools
    • Design and Implement Automation for System Level testing
    • Perform Computer and System Characterization and Failure Analysis (FA)
    • Collaborating with system enablers outside of Micron

    How To Qualify:

    • Experience/Understanding of hardware: X86, ARM, Computer, System, DRAM, Intel, AMD
    • Experience/Understanding of equipment: Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, motherboard
    • Experience/Understanding Software: Python, Linux, SQL, C#, Golang
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering

    The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

    $81,000.00 - $212,000.00

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
