We are currently seeking a reliable and caring individual to join our team as a Van Driver for our nursing home.
As a Van Driver, you will play a crucial role in our residents' daily lives by providing safe and comfortable transportation to medical appointments, outings, and other activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents during transit, while also adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and outings.
- Assist residents with boarding and disembarking the van, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the van.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and family members to coordinate transportation schedules and address any concerns or special needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures regarding transportation services.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in transportation or a similar role preferred.
- Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with elderly residents and their families.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to assist residents with boarding and disembarking the van, including lifting and maneuvering wheelchairs or other mobility aids as needed.
