Job Overview:

Blue Sky Van Rides LLC specializes in wheelchair transportation for seniors, people with disabilities, and individuals who need additional assistance.

We are seeking reliable and experienced part-time Drivers to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting wheelchair passengers to many types of non-emergency appoitments and locations in a safe and timely manner. This position requires empathy, excellent customer service and driving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers. This is a Monday thru Saturday daytime positon. You must be willing to work on Saturdays.

Basic Requirements:

• At least 23 years old
• 1 year of experience
• Current Illinois state driver's license
• No moving violations for the last 3 years
• No suspensions, revocations, DUI's or reckless violations in the last 5 years
• Pass background check and drug test
• Must be compassionate, have a positive attitude and the sincere desire to help others

Responsibilites:

• Safely transport clients to and from destinations
• Assist clients with embarking and disembarking
• Use navigation appliations to determine best routes
• Interact professionally and empathetically with clients at all times
• Communicate effectively with dispatcher or supervisor at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of vehicles

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
