Van Driver operates company vans or small buses. Loads and unloads passengers between various destinations. Being a Van Driver provides and collects appropriate documentation for passenger transportation. Ensures pick-up and drop-off are on time. Additionally, Van Driver may keep logs of vehicle maintenance. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Valid Driver's License. May Require Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class B. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Van Driver works under moderate supervision. Job Purpose:
To drive the facility van providing transportation of facility residents to physicians’ offices and activities as scheduled by the facility.
Essential job Duties and Responsibilities:
Transportation Function:
Transport residents to medical appointments and functions associated with resident activities scheduled by and in association with the facility; drive facility van for purpose of supplies and related facility acquisitions’ transport van for necessary maintenance’ transport and deliver documents to appropriate state and local agencies.
Administrative Function:
Schedule resident(s)’ medical appointments ; maintain drive logs
Compliance Function:
Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies. Ensure ongoing Company compliance with all laws and regulations

Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect; know and comply with residents’ Rights rules

Qualifications:
Must posses a current valid Texas Drivers License with no accidents or outstanding tickets Prefer to be a licensed C.N.A. in the state of Texas in good standing.
Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
Must be able to relate positively and favorably to resident and families and to work cooperatively with other associates.
Must be capable of lifting and transitioning of residents. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.
Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
